Volunteer and Leadership Opportunities

The core of NVBTA is comprised of key committees whose member volunteers help guide the Association.  Active participation on committees provides for professional growth as well as invaluable leadership experience.

By providing a network where those pursuing careers in travel management can associate closely with others who share common goals and ambitions, membership in the NVBTA can help affect real and lasting changes in an important aspect of the global business community.  If you are interested in volunteering for a committee, please send a request to president@nvbta.org.

Audit Committee: Shall consist of a minimum of three members, at least one of which shall be a Direct Member. The Audit Committee will be chaired by the Executive Vice President and must conduct an annual audit as well as ad hoc audits at the direction of the Board of Directors. The Treasurer cannot serve on the audit committee.

Communications Committee- Members of this committee will be responsible for sharing information of general interest with the membership including a synopsis of each membership meeting.

Bylaws Committee: Shall be Chaired by the Secretary and consist of a minimum of three members, at least one of which shall be a Direct Member, The Committee will be responsible for the maintenance of NVBTA Bylaws and the production of revisions for distribution to the membership via the Secretary.

Hospitality Committee: The committee shall be chaired by a member in good standing and will assist with registration, and other day of event processes as needed.

Education Committee: The committee will be chaired by a member in good standing and will be responsible for any education monies awarded by NVBTA. The committee will be responsible for the development of the processes of both application and selection.

Election Committee: Shall be chaired by the Chairman and consists of one additional member, ensuring representation by both Direct and Allied members.

Membership Committee: Shall consist of a minimum of three members, at least one of which shall be a Direct Member, and shall be chaired by the Vice President - Membership. The Membership Committee shall be responsible for the enhancement and expansion of NVBTA membership and shall work with the VP-Membership to produce update and maintain the roster and directory on the Association's website.

Program Committee: Shall consist of a minimum of two members, at least one of which shall be a Direct Member. The Program Committee will be chaired by the Vice President Programs and will support the development and production of NVBTA programs and membership meetings at the President's direction.

Sponsorship Committee: The committee shall be chaired by a member in good standing and will work with direct and supplier members to create sponsorship opportunities that will allow them additional exposure to our targeted audience and also give NVBTA additional resources to support our overall purpose/goal.
